Biography points :
  • Professor Christian-Nils Robert, born in 1943, studied law in Geneva. After taking the bar exam and obtaining a Doctor of Law degree, he was the Head of the Cantonal Office for the Protection of Youth before being appointed as a Professor at the Faculty of Law of the University of Geneva. He taught Criminal Law (general part and infringements), criminal procedure and criminology. He was also a guest lecturer at Harvard Law School and Yale University.
  • Professor Christian-Nils Robert was a member of the Federal Extra-Parliamentary Commission of Experts for the revision of the Criminal Code. He has also acted as an expert for various international organisations, the Council of Europe and Geneva Parliament.
  • Professor Christian-Nils Robert continues his research as an Honorary Professor of the Center for Research and Education in Humanitarian Actions which he also presides. In addition, he is the Chairman of the Working Group Pro Mediation which trains lawyers to become mediators in the French-speaking part of Switzerland.
  • Since 1991, expert for the Committee for the Prevention of Torture and Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment (Counsil of Europe)
  • Professor Christian-Nils Robert joins the Criminal Department of Python & Peter as Counsel.
